We are grateful to be part of a community that has been home to the which lies on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen (Songhees) and W̱SÁNEĆ (Saanich) peoples. We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Indigenous nations who have stewarded these lands for countless generations. Today we celebrate the Solstice and National Indigenous Peoples Day. Both dates are are deeply connected because Indigenous cultures have an intrinsic relationship with the land, nature, and celestial events.
