Since 2012, Think Local First Victoria has championed the idea that where we spend our money matters. Today, that message is more important than ever. When we choose local businesses, we help keep dollars circulating in our communities, support local jobs and build stronger, more resilient economies.

Make Local Visible

Local Strong. Canada Strong. is a campaign to make the local-first message visible across Greater Victoria—and to start more conversations about why supporting local matters.

We’re inviting businesses, not-for-profits and community members to take the pledge, display a Local Strong. Canada Strong. decal and encourage others to do the same. Put one in your storefront, office, vehicle or home. Make the message part of the community.

Your Next Dollar Matters

We may not control tariffs, trade policy or the global economy. We do control where we spend our next dollar.

Every local purchase is an opportunity to support the people, businesses and organizations that make our communities stronger. And when local communities are stronger, Canada is stronger.

Take the pledge. Get a decal. Share the message. Choose local.
